A postpartum doula provides holistic, one-on-one support in your home tailored to your needs during the postpartum period.
A home visit session can consist of for example support with newborn care, light housework, or emotional guidance.

Treating the mum, relaxing scalp/shoulder massage/foot bath
Light housework & food prep
Guidance on newborn care
Allowing mum to rest whilst taking care of the baby
Support with older siblings
Holistic, deep support beyond and above. Themes to explore can include:
Unpacking and integrating your pregnancy & birth journey
Supporting bonding with your baby
Relationship with your partner, new family dynamic
Changes in body, mind, identity, finding your place in life and motherhood
What abundant skin contact, breastfeeding, and being needed is raising in you, things you feel like you can’t talk about to anyone.

After birth, new mothers have universal needs that include rest, nutrition, warmth, healing touch, and community. A postpartum doula helps address all of these needs by offering:
Rest: We provide support by caring for your baby, allowing you to rest.
Nutrition: We help with meal prep and provide breastfeeding-friendly treats tailored to your needs, ensuring you are nourished and replenished during this time.
Warmth: Think heat pack on your shoulders, foot bath, cup of tea… We’ll also change your sheets to make sure your nest stays cozy.
Healing Touch: Gentle shoulder massage, running a comb through your hair, massage or Baby Reflexology treatment for your baby.
Community: Emotional support, a safe space to talk through your feelings, pregnancy and birth experience, and adjust to your new role as a mother. Ensuring you don’t feel alone during this transitional period.
Whether it’s practical support or emotional care, we tailor our services to meet your unique needs, so you feel supported throughout your postpartum journey.

A midwife provides medical care during pregnancy, childbirth, and the immediate postpartum period, monitoring your health and assisting with medical needs.
A postpartum doula focuses on non-medical support after birth. We help with emotional recovery, baby care, household tasks, and much more. Our role is to guide you through the physical and emotional changes of postpartum life, allowing you to focus on bonding with your baby and recovering at your own pace.
-
From ensuring a proper latch to offering practical advice and emotional support, we help you navigate the early days of breastfeeding. We provide breastfeeding-friendly treats and a supportive environment to encourage stress-free breastfeeding, so both you and your baby are comfortable.
We can provide referrals to breastfeeding consultants in case of more severe challenges.
-
Our postpartum doula visits are available in the South Gold Coast, from Coolangatta to Broadbeach.
If you're unsure if you're within our service area, feel free to reach out, and we’ll be happy to confirm!

Pregnancy is a powerful time for healing, both emotionally and neurologically.
During pregnancy, the brain undergoes significant changes that enhance emotional processing, increase neuroplasticity, and heighten a woman’s ability to adapt.
The hormonal shifts and changes in brain structure can make confronting and releasing past traumas or unprocessed emotions easier, providing a unique opportunity for self-reflection and growth.
The increased capacity for neural change allows for deep healing, as the mind becomes more open to reframe limiting beliefs, strengthen intuition, and prepare for the transition into motherhood.
This neurological shift creates an ideal environment for healing and transformation during pregnancy.
